Múinteoir Emma's Class

We have enjoyed the run up to Christmas here in 6B! We created our Christmas Village in art using recycled materials. We also loved our 'Cosy Day' last Friday where we drank hot chocolate and enjoyed a movie and some art. We also took part in our Santa dash as part of our 8 days of fitmas!!! Two our our teams also came second in the Christmas quiz!

We updated our reading corner to reflect the season of Winter. The children enjoy sitting here during our DEAR time or just taking 5 during the day.

We enjoyed our first class trip this year to Birr Castle! Birr Castle is known for its strong links to all things science and in particular astronomy. It was very fitting as it was Science Week in school! We explored the grounds and learnt about the Great Telescope. We had lots of fun on the treehouse.

We have been super busy designing our classroom for the month of September here in 6B. We now have a cosy reading corner and an a-mazing door display!
